Media Coordinator
The media coordinator serves as the primary support resource for the media planning team. Key responsibilities include assisting media plan development, execution and ongoing management. This includes issue/problem identification and resolution, as well as responsibility for managing billing, trafficking and asset coordination for the team.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, organization skills, knowledge of core interactive technologies, good communication skills and a hunger for responsibility and learning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with agency teams to help develop, manage and execute media plans, both digital and traditional
- Maintain weekly and monthly spreadsheets of job status and department-wide project tracking
- Daily responsibilities include: supporting media planner across all stages of the media planning process; managing trafficking of digital creative through DART; maintaining planning documents for both traditional and digital media plans; creation of media authorization forms and insertion orders; generating campaign reports on an ongoing basis; pulling competitive data or media research per client and account service request; maintain and update flowcharts; billing reconciliation; developing and maintaining relationships with media vendors; staying abreast of current media industry trends
Requirements
- Digital and/or traditional media placement, production and trafficking experience
- Working knowledge of DART and other media tools a plus
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills
- Leadership skills, including the ability to tackle project objectives on schedule and under budget, interpreting issues before they become problems and resolving unanticipated project issues effectively and independently
- Ability to create, maintain and drive a weekly production schedule
- Assertive, highly motivated with strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task many projects simultaneously and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team, share ideas and accept constructive reviews
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in Media Sequence
