Interactive Developer
nFusion seeks an interactive developer who will be responsible for building, testing and maintaining cutting-edge Web solutions. Must be proficient in PHP, MySQL and Drupal customization and module development. Must be familiar with ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server. Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (DHTML/Ajax) trends and technologies, database architecture, information architecture, and Web application integration is also essential.
Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure and have strong communication skills. Must be equally effective communicating with technical development team members and non-technical personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, thrive on variety, enjoy and work effectively in a team environment and possess a hunger for responsibility and learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites, microsites and Web applications for B2B and B2C clients
- Select the appropriate tools and technologies to achieve client business goals efficiently
- Architect code and database schemas with an eye towards best practices, scalability, flexibility, maintainability and efficiency
- Develop well-documented, professional and error-free code
- Proactively engage in technical problem solving
- Demonstrate structured thought in verbal and written communications
- Effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences
- Actively stay abreast of current interactive technologies and best practices
Requirements
- Computer Science BS or equivalent degree and experience
- 4+ years PHP and MySQL development (LAMP architecture)
- Proficiency in Drupal customization and module development
- 2+ years JavaScript (DHTML/AJAX) experience
- Familiarity with .NET and SQL Server development, including ASP.NET and C#
- Familiarity with standards-compliant XHTML and CSS development
- Creative problem-solving skills
Pluses
- Experience with other Web technologies such as ColdFusion, J2EE, XML/XSLT and Flash
- Experience with Content Management Systems
- Experience developing e-commerce solutions
- Experience building large-scale, international websites
- Experience with jQuery and jQuery UI
- Familiarity with principles of AGILE development
- Quality assurance and/or testing experience
