Account Supervisor - Product
The account supervisor will act as an account leader on a large high-tech strategic account, managing the daily coordination of agency activities and client contact for multiple product marketing initiatives and programs. We seek a person with the vision, creativity and broad understanding of the high-tech category with the ability to design and develop multi-faceted demand-generation programs to support the overall growth and revenue of a specific product line.
This person will be responsible for managing the activities of one or more account managers and will lead internal agency teams in the development and implementation of strategic integrated product marketing plans and strategies for this high-tech client. Ideal candidates will thrive on mastering the business models of complex and multi-faceted product and marketing programs and be motivated by the potential of continued diversification. Below please find a description of the primary responsibilities and requirements necessary to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Owns high-level client relationships and works to build a strong rapport across the entire client organization within his or her book of business
- Initiates, leads and sets expectations with clients on campaign deliverables and provides strong leadership within internal teams to drive campaign results on budget and within timeline
- Understands the components of integrated marketing strategies and applies them in making decisions
- Initiates and leads internal teams in the development of strategic integrated marketing plans and strategies for assigned programs
- Negotiates with clients and agency staff concerning project details, schedules and deadlines
- Responsible for profitability of multiple B2B marketing and advertising programs managed through direct reports
- Provides ongoing servicing of client to ensure continuity and expansion of relationship while achieving monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue forecasts
- Proactively identifies opportunities and takes initiative to drive successful interactions to ensure clients realize positive ROI from all programs and campaigns
- Understands the client's product, business culture, competition and targets
- Develops a deep understanding for each client’s campaign metrics and goals and is able to provide qualitative and quantitative rationale to drive suggested revisions to clients’ ROI/attribution methodologies
- Recognizes client needs and generates innovative, creative ideas and solutions
- Identifies, researches, and presents additional business opportunities within assigned clients to executive-level contacts
- Mentors and develops team resources, creating an inspiring and positive environment for clients and all internal team members
- Understands and is able to present nFusion’s philosophies and capabilities
- Able to direct and coordinate the activities of others; to motivate and inspire others; to assign and delegate work to others; to control and monitor the work of others
- Positively and professionally represents the agency at all industry functions
Requirements
- Requires BS in advertising, marketing or related field
- Requires at least 7 years of agency experience or equivalent client-side marketing experience in a B2B environment
- 5+ years of experience managing a combination of B2C and high-tech B2B clients focused on demand generation programs and/or experience working with a specific product-line or launch
- Required travel 25-50% (estimated)
- Proven background of successful account management, including management of a client portfolio with specific revenue and/or margin goals
- Proven background building relationship with clients at the senior management and director levels
- Proven background building deep and enduring relationships with complex high-tech clients in an account management or consultative sales organization
- Prior experience in navigating, influencing and/or selling into multi-level corporations
- Ability to secure, articulate and present at the highest levels of client and agency environments
- Familiarity with client and agency account and brand management process with the ability to navigate through external client organizations to move the decision making process effectively
- Ability to work with presenting complex proposals which combine strategic, technical and analytical implementation of business and marketing opportunities
- Ability to drive deep engagement with customers through in-person meetings and networking opportunities, with regular travel required to build collaborative relationships with key executive-level contacts
- Must have excellent strategic and analytical marketing skills
- Must be a recognized leader within an extended team, with proven ability to manage and mentor junior and senior team members
- Must be a confident self-starter with a positive attitude, a team player, an innovative problem solver and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure and have strong communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box and strive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Requires outstanding client-facing and teleconferencing presentation/relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; MS Project and Visio experience a plus
