Account Manager
We are looking for an outgoing, highly organized account manager to handle the day-to-day coordination of agency activities and client contact on one or more accounts. The account manager will help to lead internal teams in the development of strategic marketing plans and strategies for assigned clients and coordinate projects with internal agency departments. The ideal candidates will have a strong aptitude for prioritization of project requirements, analytical thinking and strategic initiatives. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive relationship between agency and client, ensuring client satisfaction with agency support in achieving marketing objectives
- Understands the components of integrated marketing strategies and applies them in making decisions
- Recognizes client needs and generates innovative, creative ideas and solutions
- Identifies and anticipates potential problems and finds alternative solutions; provides timely and constructive reaction and responses to problems and questions
- Recognizes and resolves project constraints from both the agency and the client
- Reviews and provides input on maintaining satisfactory levels of gross income/profitability on assigned accounts
- Optimizes agency productivity and delivers consistent, superior work
- Provides leadership within the agency on behalf of the client
- Looks for opportunities to grow current client billings
- Able to direct and coordinate the activities of others; motivates and inspires others; assigns and delegates work to others; manages and monitors the work of others
Requirements
- Requires bachelor’s degree in advertising or marketing or equivalent experience
- Requires 2 – 4 years of experience in a client-facing position at an agency or equivalent client-side marketing experience
- Excellent understanding of integrated marketing strategies
- Online marketing background a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare industry a plus
- Must be a confident self-starter, a team player, an innovative problem solver and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure and have strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; MS Project and Visio experience a plus
