Account Director
nFusion seeks an Account Director who is ready to be a critical contributor to the success of a unique and nationally recognized digital-centric agency. The successful candidate will act as the account leader for several large strategic accounts, and will be able to add significant business value at the executive level of our clients. The Account Director will lead internal agency teams in the development and implementation of strategic integrated marketing plans and strategies for our clients. Ideal candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with clients, all internal agency team members and site/industry executives. Must have excellent leadership experience, and will thrive on mastering the business models of multiple industries and be motivated by the potential of continued diversification.
Responsibilities:
- Leads high-level strategic planning for multiple clients
- Manages day-to-day account operations and mentors the assigned account team, ensuring successful relationships with clients
- Responsible for profitability of multiple additional accounts managed through direct reports
- Understands the client’s product, business culture, competition, and targets
- Understands the components of integrated marketing strategies and applies them in making decisions
- Recognizes client needs and generates innovative, creative, ideas and solutions
- Initiates and leads internal teams in the development of strategic integrated marketing plans and strategies for assigned clients
- Identifies, researches, and presents additional business opportunities within assigned clients to executive level contacts
- Negotiates with clients and agency staff concerning project details, schedules and deadlines
- Mentors and develops team resources, creating an inspiring and positive environment for clients and all internal team members
- Financial management of account revenue and profitability for the business unit
- Understands and is able to present nFusion’s philosophies and capabilities
- Able to direct and coordinate the activities of others; to motivate and inspire others; to assign and delegate work to others; to control and monitor the work of others
- Positively and professionally represents the agency at all industry functions
Requirements:
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field
- Requires 7-10 years of agency experience, or equivalent client-side marketing experience, ideally in a B2C environment
- Must have excellent strategic planning experience
- Experience in both traditional and digital marketing a must
- Must be a recognized leader within an extended team, with proven ability to manage and mentor junior team members
- Must be a confident self-starter with a positive attitude, a team player, an innovative problem solver and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Needs to be attentive to detail, resourceful, work well under pressure and have strong communication skills
- Requires outstanding client-facing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; MS Project and Visio experience a plus
