nFusion Wins Gold, Silver in W3 Awards: Agency website and charity microsite receive plaudits
Austin, Texas – January 15, 2010 – nFusion, one of the country’s leading integrated marketing agencies, has won a pair of awards in the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) 2009 W3 Awards. nFusion won for its redesigned agency website, as well as for its work overhauling Chili’s “Create a Pepper” microsite, an interactive site that helps raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
In redesigning the nFusion website, the agency put in practice what it preaches: the belief that the best websites integrate outstanding, search-optimized content with dynamic Flash elements, offering the user valuable information in an entertaining, memorable format. The site can be viewed here: http://www.nfusion.com/.
“I’m proud of the work our team did in creating a site that is both creatively engaging and technologically optimized,” says nFusion CEO John Ellett. “It is always gratifying when our talented people receive national recognition for their efforts.”
For Chili’s Grill & Bar, one of a stable of popular restaurants owned by Brinker International, nFusion re-architected the infrastructure of the restaurant’s Create a Pepper microsite and developed a new design look and feel. The site encourages visitors to “Pepper in Some Hope” by creating unique, artistic chili peppers and posting them on the site’s gallery or sending them to friends.
Chili’s has committed to raising $50 million over 10 years on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help find and fight the causes of childhood cancer. The redesigned site has helped drive an increase in donations while raising awareness of Chili’s annual “Big Day” in-restaurant event. The site can be viewed here: http://www.createapepper.com/.
“I’m particularly proud of the work we’ve done for Chili’s Create a Pepper website,” says nFusion’s Ellett. “Getting the opportunity to create such a dynamic, engaging site — one with a greater purpose — is doubly satisfying.”
Receiving nearly 3,000 entries, The W3 Awards honor outstanding websites, Web marketing and Web video created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers and creators worldwide.
“We were incredibly impressed by the quality and creativity of this year’s entries,” said Linda Day, the executive director of the IAVA. “W3 winners continue to set the bar in Web development and design, push the limits of Web advertising creativity and advance the use of Web video. We are thrilled to have reviewed such a diverse and respected pool of work.”
